So many things nauseating about this article I’m not sure where to begin. 
 
Let’s start with the fact that the committee meeting in Jefferson City was not very well attended. Why not? Why don’t more people care? Where are the public interest research groups? Where are the tea baggers fed up with fat-cat government officials?

Broken? Duh! But is it Beyond Repair?

Senator Evan Bayh said bye-bye to the Senate in announcing his retirement Tuesday. In his speech the Indiana Senator made mention of a "dysfunctional" institution riddled with "brain-dead partisanship" and permanent campaigning.
 
Good. The more insiders that realize what the rest of us have been seeing for some time now, the better.

 Representative Jake Zimmerman

Is there hope for meaningful ethics reform this year in Jefferson City? Amid the constant ethical lapses, there are blossoming some solid attempts at cleansing the capitol. Jake Zimmerman (D-83) is sponsor of HB1727. If passed, this bill will take some significant steps toward reforming lobbying and campaign activities.
